Last 10 defeats in the PL
Looking at the last 10 PL games we've lost in order of how renent they were:
2-1 Manchester City (A)
1-0 Wolves (A)
1-2 Brentford (H)
1-2 Man Utd (H)
0-1 Everton (H)
0-1 Chelsea (H)
3-2 Newcastle (A)
1-0 Man Utd (A)
2-1 Man City (A)
1-3 Liverpool (H)

For me this shows how hard we are to beat these days even in the games we are not at our best.

1. We not lost by more than 1 goal since January 2021 (1-3 home defeat to Liverpool) / 9 out of our 10 defeats have been by a single goal.
2. 6 defeats from what you would consider top 4 teams (Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea).
3. Even home/away split with 5 defeats and home, 5 defeats away from home.

You can probably read a little more into that but further signs of just how different things are is that there is not a single drubbing in there and this is a club that, since moving to the new stadium, would be regularly be on the end of a 4+ goal drubbing maybe 2,3 or 4 times a season.

Impressive stats. All this seems very surreal.

I know that the sky still turns black and the the voices once again wheedle into your ears whenever you think about Allardyce Nicey, but blaming him for defeats at the LS is something of a stretch isn't it?

Interestingly, we haven't gained a draw from losing positions, only wins.

This season, that is.

We are also currently TOP, in this season's "points gained from losing positions" table (we were 4th, last season)

Interestingly, we haven't gained a draw from losing positions, only wins.

Respect the point, my arse.

We're comfortably the team that's been the longest since losing by more than 1 goal.

Many of them were ‘bonus games’ under fat Sam’s tenure - if you give up before you start you guarantee a spanking.
